The history of Smila Machine-Building Plant dates back to the first half of the XIX century.

The structure of the plant includes all production of the machine-building cycle. In the conditions of foundry and forging production it is possible to receive pig-iron castings weighing up to 1000 kg, from non-ferrous metals - to 20 kg, forgings - to 50 kg.
The unique press equipment (efforts to 2500 ts) allows to stamp elliptical bottoms with a diameter up to 3000 mm. The equipment of welding production provides production of devices with a diameter up to 4000 mm, separate blocks - 6000 mm, weighing up to 20 t.
The fleet of metal-cutting machines includes unique lathes (center height 750 mm, distance between centers up to 8000 mm), carousel (faceplate diameter 5000 mm), longitudinal milling, horizontal boring machines, lathes and CNC milling machines.
